The 32nd Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH 2027)

Established in 1966, the ISH is committed to promoting and encouraging the advancement of scientific research and knowledge and its application to the prevention and management of heart disease and stroke in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases around the world.

The ISH:

Raises awareness, globally, of the importance of early recognition and treatment of high blood pressure.
Develops global practice guidelines and consensus statements on hypertension prevention, diagnosis and management.
Promotes and facilitates education and training worldwide for healthcare professionals working in hypertension.
Shares the latest knowledge and new discoveries in hypertension with our members and healthcare professionals.
Champions clinical and basic research to achieve optimal care of people with hypertension.
Encourages, promotes and organises international exchange visits between our members around the world.
Enables networking between our members.
Runs a Capacity Building Network to support our members’ career development.
Advocates for patient rights.

The ISH has a Council which is responsible for furthering the aspirations and activities of the ISH, ensuring its efficient running and controlling its property and funds. Council Members are elected members of the Society. A variety of committees, advisory groups, and working groups have been constituted to enable the Council to fulfil its mandate.

Regional Advisory Groups (RAGs)

The ISH also has established Regional Advisory Groups (RAGs) for all regions of the world, which provide ISH representation globally, and support ISH objectives in their regions. The 6 RAGs represent:
