ISH New Investigator Oral Presentation Award

This award was established in 2012 to encourage New Investigators and recognise excellence in scientific contribution.

  • Awards will be made at the ISH 2027 Shanghai meeting to New Investigator judged to have given the best oral presentations among finalists.
  • Finalists will be selected on the basis of the scores of their abstracts submitted for the ISH 2027 Shanghai meeting.
  • Applicants shall give a oral presentation at the ISH 2027 Shanghai meeting and must be a New Investigator who is undertaking a research higher degree or within 10 years of graduation with a doctoral or equivalent qualification.
  • Applicants must upload an official letter from their supervisor certifying their status. This must be submitted along with the applicant’s abstract.

ISH Emerging Leader Award

Outstanding poster presentations by emerging researchers

To be eligible for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria

  • Applicants must hold a PhD or MD (including residents in training).
  • Your terminal degree must have been obtained within the last 10 years.
  • Eligible: Assistant Professors and those leading their own independent research teams/labs/groups are eligible, provided they are within the 10‑year post‑graduation window.
  • Ineligible: Associate Professors and Professors.
  • You must be a member of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH).

Submission Requirements
Applicants must submit the following materials

  • You must be the presenting author of an abstract submitted to the ISH 2027 Shanghai meeting.
  • Summary Statement (1,000 words maximum) including
    • Career to date: Your professional journey and milestones.
    • Research Impact: The significance of your work within the hypertension field.
    • Field Contributions: Your involvement in local, regional, or global hypertension activities.
  • A signed letter from your supervisor (maximum 1/2 page) confirming that you meet all eligibility requirements.

ISH–CHL Outstanding Oral Presentation Award

  • This award is jointly established by the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and the Chinese Hypertension League (CHL) to recognise outstanding oral presentations delivered at the ISH 2027 Shanghai Congress, to encourage excellent researchers to attend and present their work in person, and to support research of an innovative and academically significant nature.
  • This award is open to all presenters selected for the oral presentation sessions, with no restriction on career stage. Applicants must tick the relevant option when submitting their abstracts in order to be considered for the award, and must deliver their oral presentations on site.
  • Presentations will be evaluated on originality, scientific rigour, academic innovation and delivery, with particular encouragement for studies offering new ideas, new methods or new findings. The winner(s) will be announced at the Congress.

ISH–CHL Outstanding Poster Presentation Award

  • This award is jointly established by the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and the Chinese Hypertension League (CHL) to recognise outstanding posters presented at the ISH 2027 Shanghai Congress, to encourage excellent researchers to attend and present their work in person, and to support research of an innovative and academically significant nature.
  • This award is open to all presenters selected for the poster sessions, with no restriction on career stage. Applicants must tick the relevant option when submitting their abstracts in order to be considered for the award, and must present their posters on site.
  • Presentations will be evaluated on originality, scientific rigour, academic innovation and presentation, with particular encouragement for studies offering new ideas, new methods or new findings. The winner(s) will be announced at the Congress.

Grants

Outstanding Abstract Grants will be offered to international participants whose abstracts have been selected for either oral or poster presentations and have received high evaluation scores from the Scientific Committee.

Grant Covers

  • Registration fee waiver
  • Three nights' hotel accommodation in Shanghai

Grant Eligibility and Criteria

  • If the same group of authors submit more than one abstract, the Presenter Grant will be assigned only once.
  • Grants can be requested by presenting authors younger than 35 years old or from certain low‑income and lower‑middle‑income countries. Find the list of Countries*
  • A photocopy of an identity document (Allowed file types: pdf, jpeg up to 2MB) must be uploaded when the applicants submit abstracts.
